About us
Local supply. Direct from the forge.
Aperis Global is a Melbourne-based supplier of replacement tools for hydraulic rock breakers. We work directly with a specialist manufacturer in Zhejiang, China that has produced breaker tools since 2006, and we look after everything here in Australia: fit checks, quotes, samples, delivery and warranty claims.
Matched to your breaker
Every tool is specified by breaker make and model, or made to your sample or drawing, so it fits first time.
Direct pricing
Buying straight from the manufacturer cuts out the layers between the forge and your workshop.
Support on the ground

Tool types
The right point for the job
Moil point
The all-rounder. Concentrates impact at a single point for fast penetration.
Best for: hard rock, reinforced concrete, general demolition.
Chisel (wedge)
Splits along a line. Available in-line or cross-cut to suit how you work.
Best for: layered rock, trenching, slabs and asphalt.
Blunt
Spreads impact over a flat face to shatter rather than penetrate.
Best for: secondary breaking of oversize boulders, pedestal rockbreakers.
Heavy-duty · Ø175 mm+
Grooved conical points vent air at the tip; forged pyramid points have a denser core.
Best for: large breakers in quarries and mines.
Built to last
Zoned hardness. Longer life.
A breaker tool does two opposite jobs: it must survive the piston’s impact at the top and resist wear at the tip. Our tools are heat-treated in zones, so each section gets the hardness its job needs.
Top end · ≈ HRC 48
Tough, to absorb piston impact without chipping.
Retaining slot · ≈ HRC 51
Resists cracking and swelling where the retaining pins hold the tool.
Working tip · ≈ HRC 56
Hard and wear-resistant for fast penetration in tough rock.
Standard grade
42CrMo alloy steel (equivalent to AISI 4140): proven toughness for everyday breaking.
Premium grade · special alloy steel
Developed with the steel mill for breaker work: added alloying elements and a higher forging ratio for greater wear resistance.
Heat treatment
Zoned quench-and-temper gives a hard working surface over a tough core.
Forging & finish
Forged tips on heavy-duty tools. Precision-machined shank and slots, oiled and wrapped for transit.

Made to your sample
Older, rare or unusual breaker? No drawing needed. Your measurements, or a worn tool, are enough for us to match it.
Send
Breaker make and model, carrier size, and photos or measurements of your current tool.

Warranty & care
Covered where it counts
If a tool fails because of a material or heat-treatment defect, we replace it free of charge, provided it has worn no more than 200 mm.
Covered
- A clean, square fracture of the shank outside the bushings (not in forged areas)
- A square break at the top end or retaining slot inside the bushings
- Severe mushrooming of the tip with no heat discolouration, a sign of low hardness
Not covered
- Breakage from prying or levering
- Tip mushrooming or chipping caused by overheating
- Top-end damage from a worn (dished) piston or excess bushing clearance
- Angled breaks at the retaining slot from incorrect operation
- Consequential loss or damage
How to claim: send photos of the whole tool and the fracture, plus the breaker model, carrier size and hours used. One replacement per claim.
Get more hours from every tool
- Grease oftenApply chisel paste to the shank about every 2 hours.
- Keep it squareWork with the tool perpendicular to the surface.
- Never pryDon’t lever rock with the tool; reposition the breaker instead.
- No blank firingKeep firm down-pressure so the tool is always loaded.
- Move onChange position after 15–30 seconds to stop the tip overheating.
- Check wear partsInspect bushings and retaining pins; replace them when worn.
